Pectus Finance is an early-stage start-up from Berlin, building a next-gen SaaS tool for financial planning and analysis for small and mid-sized companies. Backed by Picus Capital and several well-known angel investors, we are growing strongly and are currently looking for a new Data Engineer to join the development team.

We are looking for an experienced data engineer to join our team. You will use various methods to transform raw data from our customers into useful data which Pectus can process. You will create and maintain data pipelines, implement methods to improve data reliability and quality and strive for efficiency by aligning data systems with business goals. To succeed in this data engineering position, you should have strong analytical skills and the ability to combine data from different sources. The required skillset includes familiarity with several programming languages and knowledge of machine learning methods. If you are detail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills and experience in this field, we’d like to hear from you.

This position is fully remote.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience as Data Engineer
  • Strong Python skills
  • Cloud (AWS) experienced
  • Experience with data lakes
  • Java skills are strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of other programming languages preferred
  • Masters Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or other quantitative subject preferred
  • Start-Up experience is preferred
