About the role

The System Engineer's role is to implement, configure, and support Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions that the company uses to help deploy, manage, track, and audit devices and accesses. The System Engineer is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and administering the MDM and IAM solutions for our business unit and clients.

This role manages, maintains support, and optimizes the MDM and IAM solution, and suggests improvements to the system configurations and procedures for better security whilst aligning with the client's requirements. This role is also expected to perform IT Helpdesk or End-User computing tasks as needed.



  • Manage and administer the fleet of MDM-connected devices and users
  • Systems Administration of the MDM and IAM solution
  • Serve as systems and support engineer for devices, tools, management, and security technologies for the customer's IT environment issues
  • Provides problem diagnosis and resolution
  • Administering and maintaining the MDM and IAM implementation and configuration. Be a mentor and work with other vendors that support the solution
  • Enforce user and device policies and patch management via the MDM tool
  • Respond to requests from internal and authorized external business units (or vendors) in a timely manner
  • Prioritize and execute tasks in a time-sensitive environment
  • Ability and desire to conduct research and resolve tickets from the end user community for issues related to the MDM tool
  • Consult and document MDM and IAM environments for new and existing customers
  • Work closely with the service provider and product team to keep abreast of service updates and ensure timely incident resolution



Ideal candidate


  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience with MDM and IAM tools
  • Good knowledge of any of the MDM platforms for enterprises such as JumpCloud, VMWare, Soti MobiControl, Intune
  • Knowledgeable in managing macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android devices
  • Hands-on experience in the configuration of MDM resources and objects
  • Have a background in managing and migrating Cloud Directory like Google Workspace, M365, or Okta 
  • Basic Powershell and API custom scripting is required 
  • Have a service-oriented mindset (striving to meet what client needs instead of so much fixating on technical aspects) and a startup mindset (ability to work under pressure or uncertainty, tight timeline)
  • Good English communication ability (spoken and written)
