Job Description:

  • Performs monthly financial close functions including reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
  • Prepares financial statements to summarize and forecast the company’s financial status.
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly internal reports, updates scorecard explains major variances.
  • Participates in the preparation of annual budget, and financial statements. Assists in annual audit/review.
  • Prepares monthly account reconciliations.
  • Ensures compliance with and prepares reports according to applicable government regulations.
  • Reviews accounts payable, credit card reconciliation, and expense reports, and prepares monthly payment runs.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to accounting staff.
  • Coordinates with and prepares reports for the Head of Accounting and senior management.
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Experience in accounting related position
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP and ASPE.
  • Excellent analytical skills, and ability to interpret financial information with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Superior Excel skills and ability to learn and effectively utilize various software and applications.
  • Superior customer service skills can work both independently and in a team.
  • Fast learner of new tools and technologies which improve efficiencies on repetitive and time-consuming processes.
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with system and application implementation is an asset.
  • Experience with FinancialForce is an asset.
