Job Description
The Recruiter is responsible to develop a comprehensive, diverse, and global recruitment strategy that delivers an outstanding candidate experience, and improves our ability to source, identify and select early career talent to build the future leaders of Associated Materials. You would serve as the face of this program, driving the design and execution of our university recruiting, training, and development programs. Additionally you will work to create efficient processes and programs throughout the enterprise.
Position Description
- Design/develop/deliver effective learning experiences to talent using a broad range of tools including e-learning, videos, knowledge-sharing, external vendors and OTJ training.
- Establishes and manages university relationships with core schools and executes college recruiting strategy, building, and maintaining relationships with university career centers, faculty and student organizations, including liaising and managing communications with the campus career services office(s) to facilitate campus recruiting activities. Develop assessments/evaluations and collect feedback for learning participants to measure progress
- Partners with team members to build effective campus recruiting teams and attend campus events such as job fairs and information sessions.
- In conjunction with the corporate communication team, creates and monitors social media ads for attracting potential candidates.
- Oversees all aspects of candidate selection including screening resumes, interviewing, hiring manager training, presentation of diverse candidate slates, selection, job offers and onboarding activities including background checks, employment verifications, drug screens and reference checks as needed.
- Negotiates employment offers with job candidates.
- Ensure representation at recruiting events, both physically and virtually, develop strategic partnerships and grow brand affinity on campus and collaborate with student organizations and faculty that will support our hiring strategy.
- Ensure adherence to all compliance and acquisition processes including ensuring candidate data integrity is captured in the CRM and ATS accurately.
- Develop and implement a strategic and influential university engagement model in partnership with the business that aligns with our goals and objectives.
- Establish and implement development programs and retention strategies for newly hired graduates that may include, but are not limited to, building formal networks, and mentoring programs, providing access and opportunity for community outreach, identifying professional development opportunities (courses, career development, etc.), and enabling managers to develop a unique part of Associated Materials’ workforce.
- Support managers by providing the appropriate training and resources
- Collaborate with HR leadership to design and build the summer intern and management training program (MTP)
- Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with candidates, universities, and stakeholders at all levels
- Provide guidance and direction to department on training and drive communication around the program, including the goals and objectives
- Research and build expertise regarding learning and development trends
- Create marketing materials and communication strategy to increase awareness around our recruiting and training efforts
- Utilizes Applicant Tracking System (SmartRecruiter) to accurately record and manage recruitment process and data integrity.
- Collate data, analyze, and present interpretation of data to relevant stakeholders to drive informed decision making

Experience and Qualifications
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- 10+ years’ experience, including 3+ years’ experience in a university level talent development program required
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent strongly preferred
- Demonstrated success partnering across an organization to drive change
- Demonstrated experience in developing, leading, and managing large-scale transformational programs.
- Proven track record of implementing best practices, driving change across organizations, and promoting the benefits of early career talent.
- Ability to foster trust, influence, coach and guide early career talent, business leaders, and teams
- Data driven, with experience in strategic planning, diagnosing pipeline health and funnel conversion rates.
- Strong communication skills – and ability to communicate across levels
- Strong analytical and consultative skills to understand and match business needs with candidate interests and capabilities
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with universities, internal stakeholders, and early career talent
- Ability to maintain a strong network of internal relationships as well as a visible profile within the business
- Strong project management skills
- Demonstrated experience creating and documenting processes and best practices
- Proficiency in making data driven decisions, and the ability to tell a compelling story with the data
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other HRMS / MS Office data tools
- Ability and willingness to travel
