Develop new Suppliers 

• Identify new potential suppliers with the support of Birr Machines local consultant 
• Support Birr Machines Quality Inspector to inspect and audit new suppliers according to our internal process 

Maintaining relationships with existing Suppliers 

• On-site relationship management with existing suppliers 

Supporting project execution and operational procurement 

• Get tenders from Indian suppliers on time, on quality (commercial and technical) and on budget 
• Assist in price and contract negotiations with local suppliers. Orders will be placed by Birr Machines Switzerland to the supplier. 
• Regular visits to existing suppliers for progress monitoring and escalation management 

Market analysis 

• Analyze the supplier market for electrical machine components 

Travel activity >60% 

• Supplier visits 
• Participation in relevant industry fairs and conferences in India to find new suppliers and expand market knowledge 

• 8-10 years of professional experience in strategic purchasing for electrical machinery manufacturing 
• Proven experience in successful negotiation and building relationships with Suppliers 
• Existing network in the Indian supplier industry 
• Experience in risk management within the supply chain 
• At least 8 years of experience collaborating with Europe or North America
