What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a customer-obsessed and data-driven Senior Product Manager to join our team. The Senior PM will be an expert in modern product best practices from discovery and research with a focus on outcomes over outputs to delivery in an agile environment. The ideal candidate will have both a lean mindset and a growth mindset. They will be savvy in their approach to data, testing, and experimentation and they will strive to learn continuously, recognizing failure as a necessary learning point on the path to success. The Senior PM will be comfortable with high levels of ambiguity, as they will be embarking upon generative and evaluative research to make recommendations on new product opportunities or substantial developments towards mature products. They are responsible for the entire product lifecycle. This role is inherently cross-functional and will work closely with executives, training, support, sales, and marketing to develop the product.


Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing or advancing a holistic product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a given opportunity area, gaining buy in on your vision from your stakeholders and customers along the way.
  • Identifying the maturity of your product area to focus on (1) attaining product market fit, (2) iterating product-market fit to execute on your product vision or (3) retaining and growing a more mature audience.
  • Driving the momentum and collaborating with design and engineering teams to evaluate the value, feasibility, viability, and competitive landscape of high-impact product opportunities. Making resulting strategic recommendations to BuildingLink leadership.
  • Collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders, speaking directly to customers and prospects, and conducting user research and discovery. Through experimenting, testing, and iterating, understand customers’ needs and how the BuildingLink solution can be best positioned with respect to stakeholders' feedback.
  • Developing user journeys, workflow diagrams, personas, user stories, and acceptance criteria.


  • Leading an agile squad to execute on complex work that is large in scope and of the highest value to the business, avoiding scope creep and development for the sake of staying busy. Partnering with other engineering leads on the longer-term technical needs of the product.
  • Fostering a strong relationship with sales, training, support, and product marketing by partnering on go to market strategy, communicating upcoming product launches, and acting as a point of contact for customer feedback within the product area owned by the PM.
  • Continuously setting and monitoring progress towards metrics and product area goals using Google Analytics and other tools being adopted by the organization. Learning with the squad, and influencing future work based on goal results.
  • Mentoring other product team members, bringing best practices to the table, and encouraging an environment of continuous learning.

About you:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a SaaS product management role. Experience running agile squads is a must.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the system around your products and the impacts and outcomes your work will have on the rest of the company, technology, and design.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple efforts, with high ambiguity, simultaneously, and delivering user-facing functionality that has materially improved business objectives.
  • Ability to explain complex topics to a variety of audiences, from internal stakeholders and engineering to external customers, in addition to exemplary communication, presentation and collaboration skills.
  • Fluency in writing user stories and acceptance criteria that are intuitive and easy to follow.
  • Analytical approach with experience setting goals and a working sense of Google Analytics or other product analytics tools to report on critical metrics to track performance.
  • A natural propensity to guide and mentor others, ready to model product management skills and tactics for other PM’s on the team.
  • Prior experience with 3rd party integrations, real estate technology, and property management is nice to have, but not required.
  • Experience putting together a new business case, building a new product, and bringing it to market is nice to have, but not required.
