• Design, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems
• Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and build out new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity
• Implement data ingestion and transformation processes using PySpark and AWS Glue
• Work with MySQL to manage data storage solutions
• Collaborate with data science teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision-making across the organization
• Develop APIs using FastAPI for efficient data retrieval and management
• Manage and optimize AWS resources, ensuring efficient deployment and operation of data services
• Implement basic DevOps practices for effective system monitoring and deployment
• Research opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data
• Evaluate new or existing software products and data management systems
• Work closely with analytics and business teams to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Software Developer, or similar role
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data frameworks like MySQL, Pandas, Numpy, FastAPI, and PySpark
• Proficiency in using AWS cloud services 
• Basic DevOps skills, including deployment and monitoring of applications
• Experience with Streamlit is a plus
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
