Legal Counsel:

Reports to: Compliance Executive

Key Partnerships: Human Resources, Legal, Compliance, Support Center

Department: Legal

Salary: $80,000.00

Classification: Exempt

Location: Remote

About this role: Our Legal Counsel partner will lead, support, and assist with general legal governance and policies. Develop standards for structuring, negotiating, and closing merger and acquisition contracts. This position will require external and internal communication while addressing complex legal issues in an accurate and timely manner. Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice on a range of legal issues and projects.
  • Perform legal research on emerging regulatory issues and remain up to date on general legal developments.
  • Develop and promulgate existing and new processes and procedures.
  • Interface with counterparties, and negotiate directly with clients.
  • Prepare, review, and edit agreements to assure compliance with internal and external requirements.
  • Assist with litigation matters as needed.
  • Interact with clients, and potential partners in contract negotiations and other disputes.
  • Cooperate with legal counsel to achieve CDP objectives.
  • Assist internal departments in maintaining compliance and legal efforts in the existing and newly developed frameworks.
  • Assist with HR legal matters as needed.
  • Manage video library/archival system for videos


Basic Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor Degree
  • Member in good standing in Texas Bar
  • Experience leading the legal process involved with M&A as a part of the company's overall growth strategy
  • 3-4 of law firm experience
  • Experience leading in all legal matters of a company while consulting the key business and clinical decision-makers and executives.
  • Experience as in-house or General Counsel, or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office-related software
  • HR Experience is a plus
  • Medical Field Experience is a plus.
  • Experience in healthcare (dental experience preferred) compliance matters, with tangible results balancing compliance with business growth and scale
