JOB OVERVIEW

The analyst will conduct data analysis of client-critical risk and operational processes and practices, understand their interconnectivity, determine gaps in performance, and develop recommendations for improvement. The analyst will often act as an influencer to coordinate correct input for data analysis. The analyst will regularly work with minimal supervision from the Manager and be responsible to develop and manage action plans, analyze results, and present and deploy strategies that help clients meet their strategic goals. The analyst will present results to client leaders in a language that is understandable and digestible, not just facts and numbers, but a story that gives valuable insights to the client with actionable recommendations for improvement.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Deliver value to clients by connecting data analysis, business intelligence and the concept of operational risk management to provide clients with the necessary insights to make better decisions for their operations

Create innovative scalable global solutions

Ensure successful client delivery through effective project management

Provide ongoing maintenance, support and enhancements to existing systems and platforms

Work alongside other consultants on the team to elevate technology and consistently apply best data analytics practices

Collaborate with colleagues as a contributing team member that together tell a holistic and compelling story that help clients meet their ambitions and create lasting value

Who You'll Work With

You will be a part of dss+ Digital Team and will work in a team of software engineers, product managers, data scientists, data engineers and designers to create innovative products and new technologies that accelerate and scale our work in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Operating like an “internal start up”, we’ve already done a lot to be proud of, such as

• Designing products that can explain complex data landscapes and insights to our users

• Building frameworks and libraries for our consultants to work in large-scale, complex projects.

• Codifying the methodology by which we deliver advanced analytics projects to our clients and the tooling needed to support them

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• 5+ years of post-university experience in technology- and strategy-related roles in professional services, blue-chip, industry or start up environment
• Outstanding records of academic and managerial or professional achievement
• Strong record of leadership in an academic, professional or extracurricular setting
• Programming experience in either Python or R, data visualization tools (Tableau / Power BI), and databases (SQL and/or VBA)
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with people at all levels in an organization
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively - both verbally and in writing - in English, additional languages is advantageous
• Intrinsic understanding of research techniques, information sources and analytic techniques
• Willingness to travel
