What’s the role?

We're looking for an ambitious Finance graduate or professional to help with the day to day of the Finance function.

You'll work closely with an experienced Finance team to help establish and look after various accounting and financial control processes and bookkeeping.

This offers a rapid learning curve with increasing understanding and ownership of all finance processes under the guidance of and reporting to the Finance Manager and clear career-progression opportunity.

You'll also benefit from a growth mindset environment including close attention to career development, as well as on-going learning about the role, wider industry and personal development.

What will you do?

• Management of account inbox & helping with queries across different teams
• Accounts payable - processing and timely paying of invoices
• Accounts receivable - raising invoices (one-off and recurring), receiving payments, sending customer statements and payment reminders
• Preparation of bank batch payment instructions for approval
• Daily monitoring of banks accounts, reconciling incomings and outgoings
• Assistance with Credit Control function
• Employee expense claims
• Credit and Virtual Cards management, support and monthly reconciliation
• Assist with the production of Monthly Management Accounts
• Helping with payroll process (fortnightly US payroll / monthly UK payroll)
• Assistance with quarterly VAT returns for Finance Manager review
• Attend regular in-house training relating to products and industry trends

Requirements

What will you bring?

• Graduate or have received a professional Finance qualification
• Understanding of bookkeeping and the accounting system
• Good Excel/Google Sheets skills
• Excellent communication and team-working skills
• Enthusiastic personality
• Initiative Skills

Bonus Points (advantageous but not essential) for:

• Exposure to Google G-Suite (Docs, Sheets and Slides)
• Exposure to cloud based accounting systems (Xero & NetSuite)
