About the role

As Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Empatica, you will help the team making sure Empatica tech stack is monitored and always up and running. In addition, working together with other Engineers members you will:

• Analyze and improve Empatica infrastructure and services, designing and implementing monitoring solutions by instrumenting existing software, from cloud infrastructure to backend and client facing applications
• Guarantee a comprehensive overview of Empatica technological stack, helping the team understand failure points, maintaining SLAs by measuring and monitoring availability and supporting systems scalability
• Produce comprehensive documentation, guidelines, and SOPs for technical and non technical people, helping the team navigate through the information collected by the tools that have been implemented
• Provide tier-2 support with the tools required for independently troubleshooting customer issues, covering the entire company stack
• Be available for occasional on-call duties during weekends and after hours, being a first line responder for issues in Empatica tech stack

Requirements

You are the ideal person for this job if you:

• Have BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Have minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role (senior candidates are welcomed as well)
• Familiar with cloud infrastructures, specifically with AWS
• Have experience in one or more programming languages (Bash, Go, and Python preferred)
• Have experience in designing and maintaining large scale, distributed systems
