About Eugene:

Eugene helps people make important healthcare decisions with at-home genetic tests and expert virtual care. We’re bringing genomics into everyday care by automating a complex medical process and making it simple for individuals and their doctors.

Since launching our first at-home genetic test to guide pregnancy planning in 2018, we’ve screened over 10 thousand people across Australia and have raised over $5m, backed by some of the best and brightest in the health, startup and social impact investor community. Since then we've also launched a cancer risk test, and there's a whole lot more to come.

Eugene is remote-first, allowing you to work from anywhere within Australia, or in person at our Richmond Victoria office if that’s your preference.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of industry experience
• have expertise in or are excited by the technologies we use (Node / Typescript, GraphQL, React, Tailwind, AWS)
• have a healthy respect for security, privacy, customer experience and inclusion.
• enjoy collaboration and sharing ideas.
• are motivated and thrive when given autonomy to execute.
• are comfortable at all stages of the development cycle, from ideation to production
• have a strong foundation in any programming language, that you can apply to get up to speed
• have an interest in or experience with continuous deployment tools and automated testing
• are interested in building products at a fascinating intersection of:
