Working with the We Got This Covered team means the opportunity to write breaking internet news, SEO articles, opinion pieces, and more on the subjects you already follow regularly. This is a talented, passionate, and international team that works remotely. Interested candidates should be able to demonstrate a deep knowledge of internet trends, news, memes, and online personalities.

Please provide a portfolio or writing samples to showcase your work - especially pieces with relevant subject matter. In the cover letter, please tell us what your relevant special-knowledge topics are and whether you think you're more of a fit for a TikTok beat or a viral news beat.

Responsibilities:

• Work with editors to develop pitches
• Meet deadlines for publishing stories
• Follow trending topics through Google Trends, TikTok, Twitter, etc.
• Write a minimum of 20 stories per month

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience writing in the news industry
• Knowledge of SEO practices
• Finger on the pulse of TikTok, internet news, memes, etc.
• A demonstrated ability to translate viral videos into compelling headlines/articles is a plus

Compensation ranges from $16-$90 per article.
