Senior Python Developer at JBS Solutions

JBS is currently looking for a Senior Python Developer with strong architecture and leadership experience. The candidate should feel comfortable being a team lead, and be familiar with microservice best practices, patterns and architectures. The candidate should feel comfortable working in a full stack role as well – in addition to application development and architecture, there are data and front-end components that will need to be architected and implemented too. The role will be working in an agile environment with a mixed team of both JBS engineers and our client's engineering team.

Required Skills

• 3+ years working with Python
• 2+ years working with Python web frameworks (Django required; flask/turbo gears/web2py nice to have)
• 1+ years of working with React.js
• 1+ years working with AWS (Lambda, RDS)
• Docker experience or equivalent container experience
• 2+ years working with open-source relational database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Experience using JavaScript frameworks (i.e. React, etc)
• Feels comfortable and has experience working in a Unix environment (Unix command line)
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to accurately estimate work
• Commitment to provide quality completed deliverables with well-factored, maintainable code
• Experience with VCS (git)

Nice To Have

• Experience with microservices
• Experience building and designing REST-based web services using JSON
