  • Our vision is to be part of a structural change in the legal industry so that firms, as well as their clients, have a better experience of accessing legal services. We launched in October 2019 and in the short time since then have built a large law firm customer base who love our product and our team.
  • We have an agile, ambitious and collaborative team. With deep experience across design, tech and the industry, we put our employees first. We’re looking for people who can grow with us.
  • Our core values are agility, ambition, and collaboration. We rely heavily on data and first principles decision-making.

The Role

  • On our journey to transforming the legal industry, we are recruiting for an innovative Senior Product Designer. Designing industry changing products, you will be embedded in a cross-functional Agile squad to design best-in-class user experience across our suite of products. As a Senior Product Designer you will be immersed in the full product design lifecycle with your own Squad (prototypes, wireframes, user testing, building), help implementing Design principles and lead continuous improvement of our design processes with your colleagues in the Design team, your squad and wider organisation.
  • Joining a remote-first team built on collaboration, you’ll be a pivotal person in the success of Legl. Contributing towards our ambitious expansion plans, you’ll see your role grow as we embark on new challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute towards early design processes and discovery alongside our wider Product team to help define our product and go to market approach
  • Driving increased service adoption and user engagement by delivering tailored solutions to market which support the evolving needs of law firms

  • Known for improving our ways of working across Product Design delivery, and formed strong relationships across the EPD (Engineering, Product & Design) team as well as customer-facing teams (Customer Excellence, Sales, Marketing).

  • Enjoys acting fast - understanding the fast paced nature of an agile startup, with the flexibility to approach user-centred design in both a proactive & reactive manner
  • Proven experience in Product Design - taking the initiative in both strategic and hands-on challenges which arise in the Product Design lifecycle
  • Expert in all aspects of Figma - from concepts to design system components into rapid prototyping and commenting on design critiques – it’s second nature

  • Competitive salary and share options: we all share in Legl’s success
  • Legl has a dynamic, remote-first culture, with a focus on making work work for you. We give generous budgets for home set-ups, co-working space use if you need or want it and access to office spaces for collaboration in person, no matter where you live
  • Regular company off-sites, where we all get together in-person, as well as frequent remote social events
  • Opportunity to join a well-funded, post-Series B startup in our mission to make legal services better for everyone
  • High impact work that really matters - success in this role will drive our growth and have a big impact on the business and our clients
  • A focus on wellbeing with access to support sessions with a psychotherapist and a personal wellbeing budget of £250 per year
