About the role

  • Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans for oil and gas projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and specifications
  • Identify potential hazards and risks associated with oil and gas projects, and develop strategies to mitigate them
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure that risks are identified and managed throughout the project lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain risk registers and other documentation, tracking progress and reporting to management as required
  • Conduct risk analyses using quantitative and qualitative methods, and develop risk models to support decision-making
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of risk management strategies, and implement corrective actions as necessary
  • Provide technical support and advice to project teams, ensuring that risks are managed in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Participate in technical meetings, forums, and industry events, keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in risk management techniques and technologies
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and regulatory authorities



Ideal candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry or a compatible industry, with a strong understanding of risk management principles and techniques
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and specifications related to risk management
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and developing risk management plans for oil and gas projects
  • Experience using risk analysis software and tools, and developing risk models to support decision-making
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and address issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Professional Engineering (PE) certification or other relevant certification is preferred
