Job Details

At Mimo, we believe that coding can open doors to careers and opportunities like few other skills. That's why we've rallied around the common goal of making coding universally accessible.

We're looking for a Product Designer to partner with our cross-functional team to identify growth opportunities to bring new learners onto our app and empower them to do more. You’ll use a balance of product, interaction, and visual design skills within Mimo that you will end up building.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Continuously craft fun and rewarding user experience, via features like the streak, leaderboard, achievements, and new ones you'll invent. The longest learning streak is 1140 days and we are still counting…

  • You mix your visual, UX, and interaction design skills to develop user-centric features while measuring the success of your design decisions via experimentation and user feedback.

  • You will utilize and contribute to our design system, and partner up with peers to design growth features from ideation to release, and iterate it after its release, impacting millions of users.

You’ll thrive in this role if…

  • You have excellent design skills. You’ve shipped products, and understand what it takes to create valuable, people-oriented experiences. Motion design skills are a major plus.

  • You take calculated risks: you feel comfortable experimenting with new things, are unafraid of making mistakes (because they are a part of learning), and can temper your analytical skills with intuition and creative ambition.

  • You are user and data-focused. You are constantly looking to hone your instincts through user feedback and data insight.

  • You have an online portfolio or PDF that you can share with us. Applications without a portfolio are unlikely to be considered.

Where you’ll be working…

  • We are a distributed team, operating between Eastern Standard time zone and European Standard time zone for collaboration and ask that all be located in that time zone.

  • Prefer working in an office instead? No problem. In case you choose to come to Austria to work at our Headquarters, we’ll handle the work permit application for you, and cover travel expenses related to your relocation.

Our global perks and benefits

  • We have a remote-first mentality and give everyone a home office budget.

  • 25 days of paid vacation days in addition to your local public holidays, and paid sick leave.

  • We sponsor team retreats throughout Europe and remote-friendly activities, like hack weeks, and coffee breaks.

  • To further develop yourself, make use of our € 680 personal growth budget for books, online courses, conferences, or anything else that supports your personal development.

  • Your annual salary will range from € 47k to € 54k gross annually (or € 60k for contractors). Your salary will automatically increase by 5% every year. No questions asked.

  • The chance to build a world-class product, positively impact millions of aspiring developers and be an owner of the company with equity (phantom stock).
