Job Description

Position Overview:

Nearpod is looking for a collaborative, action-oriented Marketing Operations Specialist to serve as the central hub for best-in-class execution of our email marketing and lead generation initiatives.​​ You will work with our marketing automation platform, processes and tools, helping to ensure that best practices for data management, workflow automation, campaign execution and reporting are consistently applied. This role collaborates with the demand generation campaign managers to reach new business prospects and connect with existing customers through email including pre and post event communications, regular newsletters, promotional campaigns and contests, long-tail nurture flows, etc. Additionally, you will work closely with the digital marketing team to ensure that our lead generation technologies are operating effectively and efficiently.

This Specialist is an individual contributor on the Go-to-Market Operations team, reporting to the Senior Manager of Marketing Operations.


Our Ideal Candidate will:

  • Manage marketing team’s email calendar and administer marketing email campaigns (including list segmentation; coordination with campaign managers on objective, copy and design; build conversion forms and landing pages as needed that relate to the email campaigns; QA testing and deployment; report on performance)
  • Coordinate with graphic/web designers to enhance Pardot template layouts and imagery
  • Apply best practices and capitalize on advanced automation features to optimize conversion rates (A/B testing, personalization, conditional completion actions, etc.)
  • Analyze campaign performance and suggest improvements for the future
  • Build and monitor workflow integrations as needed (eg. Zapier) to ensure that data flows between our MAP and other lead gen tools
  • Responsible for compliance with email marketing and privacy regulations; manage marketing opt-in/email preferences
  • Support marketing operations team with database maintenance and data integrity as well as key operational processes, like lead scoring and routing



Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field
  • 3 years marketing experience with proven work experience in email marketing or digital marketing
  • Hands on experience with MAP, CRM, and automation tools (our tech stack includes Pardot, Salesforce, Zapier, Chili Piper, etc.) Bonus points for Pardot experience and/or certifications
  • Comfortable working with HTML
  • Strong project management skills: Needs to be able to juggle and coordinate multiple projects which requires organization and prioritization
  • Process and detail oriented: expected to deliver high-quality work within a reasonable time, responsible for building and maintaining efficient workflows
  • Curious and data-driven: Tests and optimizes for variables such as messaging, audience segments, timing and creative; strives to improve for the future
  • Team player and clear communicator: This work is highly collaborative in a remote-working environment
  • Tech-savvy: Interested in and follows latest trends in marketing technology
  • Adaptable: Thrives in a growth-stage company environment, takes initiative to learn and build
