We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on finance manager to help us build and scale Nillion’s finance function, globally. Nillion brings to life fast, permissionless, decentralized computation. We have just closed our strategic fundraise, with an oversubscribed round of $20 million. The technology fundamentally changes how data is stored, processed, and decentralized and opens up a realm of alternative decentralized use cases.

As a Finance Manager at Nillion, you will assist with treasury management, accounting and financial operations while helping us build and scale internal processes and compliance systems. A key aspect of this role is to help build a solid audit-proof financial structure, while keeping it agile and scalable. The role will report to the Director of Finance.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement, accounts payable process and treasury
• Manage the company group tax and compliance activities
• Prepare the company group accounting and related activities
• Control employee payroll/wages process
• Own the intercompany payment and billing process
• Prepare monthly group reporting and consolidation
• Support with the company's budget preparation and control
• Assist with the preparation and monitoring of annual budget and periodic forecasts
• Support the preparation of the annual and monthly financial planning
• Support the preparation of the annual Statutory and Direct tax reporting
• Support the external tax advisors in the preparation of tax files
• Identify potential financial risks and opportunities and present them in a timely manner
• Acting as business partner and liaison for Legal, People, and other departments as needed

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar
• 4+ years of professional experience working in a similar role
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills; people-first approach
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
• Ability to work cross-functionally with a globally distributed team
• Good understanding of all areas of a financial department, including; accounting, treasury, and controlling
• Demonstrated experience working in Startups or hyper growth organisation
• Solid understanding of IFRS, US GAAP, and bridging
• Working knowledge of indirect and direct taxes (EU/US)
• Experience managing payroll and related accounting
• Solid understanding of group consolidation reporting, multi-leder, and multi-currency accounting
• Proven experience in international operations and environments
• Excel wizard and experienced with different accounting softwares
• Fluent in English

• Professional experience with Audit or Big4
• Experience or knowledge with blockchain, crypto or Web 3
