About Us

At Pagos, we're passionate about empowering businesses to take control of their payments stack and solve the puzzles standing between them and optimized growth. Our global platform provides developers, product teams, and payments leaders with both a deeper understanding of their payments data and access to new payments technology through user-friendly tools that are easy to implement. To succeed in this, we need creative thinkers who are willing to roll up their sleeves and start building alongside us.

About the Role

Data is at the core of everything we do at Pagos, and our Data Analysts play a key part in ensuring the quality and consistency of our data.

With a keen eye for detail and a collaborative approach, you'll partner and collaborate with our Engineering and Product teams. In this role, you'll focus on testing data pipelines, debugging rogue SQL queries, and tracking down data inconsistencies.

As a Data Analyst, you will:

  • Own data quality across the entire platform
  • Design scalable and reliable test plans to ensure consistent data delivery
  • Find, research, and track bugs
  • Plan and coordinate testing activities alongside cross-functional teams
  • Help translate customer and product requirements to create and validate data models
  • Proactively seek and execute on solutions for day-to-day project challenges

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with:

  • 2-4 years experience in Data Analysis
  • Excellent SQL knowledge, with the ability to write and run SQL queries effectively and independently to gather test data needed for set ups, manipulation, and analysis.
  • Knowledge of fundamental statistical concepts for data validation
  • The ability to read Python code and create tests of code logic using testing frameworks, preferably with some programming capability for creating and modifying automated tests
  • Experience with JSON files and interpreting data in said file
  • Experience working with complex, large-scale relational databases and other tools to compile and interpret quantitative data
  • The ability to work in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
  • Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—while working with an asynchronous global team

Nice to haves:

  • Experience programming in Python, Java, C#, or a similar language
  • Experience with Redshift
  • Experience in the fintech/finance industry
