PDMI is looking for a Test Automation Engineer to join our team! PDMI provides technology and other specialized industry solutions for managing health through prescription drug programs for national and regional health plans, Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs), hospice organizations, patient assistance programs and 340B and drug manufacturer assistance programs, as well as various healthcare-related industries.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Test Automation Engineer that will enable them to own the Test Automation function. They will be able to understand the functional aspects of our applications, define strategies and create test scripts to test them, and covert the scripts into the test automation suite of their choice while finding and implementing solutions for any automation issues encountered during the process.  This position requires programming proficiency in Python, Java, or C#; extensive knowledge and experience with software automation tools; extensive knowledge of the software development lifecycle, software testing, and different testing methods; excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills; as well as the desire and ability to continuously learn to effectively provide modern solutions. 

This opportunity is fully remote from approved locations within the U.S. including, but not limited to OH, PA, TX, GA, NC, TN, IN, MI, VA, FL, MO, and OK.

Responsibilities:  

  • Ability to demonstrate, understand and apply our workplace mission, vision and values. 
  • Design, test and deploy effective test automation solutions for various PDMI applications. 
  • Design and develop test scripts to execute automated tests. 
  • Maximize test coverage for the most critical system features. 
  • Determine the priority for test scenarios and create execution plans to implement test scenarios. 
  • Write documentation for automated processes, including but not limited to, test plans, test procedures, and test cases. 
  • Build test automation framework and implement as per the structure of the project. 
  • Create, enhance, debug, and run the test cases. 
  • Collate and monitor the defect management process, manage the changes and execute regression tests. 
  • Create exact solutions for problems related to object identity and error handling. 
  • Generate and analyze test reports. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop testing solutions and identify challenges, risks, resource constraints, test estimates, etc. 
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on the latest industry trends and developments. 

 Work & Education Experience Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field. 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Test Automation Engineer. 

 Required Competencies: 

  • Ability to develop a unique understanding of PDMI brand, products, and services 
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word 
  • Extensive knowledge of software development lifecycle, software testing, and different testing methods 
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java and Python 
  • Experience utilizing SQL to query databases 
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with software automation tools 
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills 
  • Ability to prioritize tests/tasks and estimate task execution timeframes 
  • Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills 
  • Highly accurate and detail-oriented
