Lead Python Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Python Engineer to eventually lead one of our development squads and support our advanced search and conference platform. The role can be in the UK, Kyiv or remote in Europe.

The Role:

• Join as a senior engineer, with the goal of leading a team once you are comfortable with our processes and codebase
• Perform as the Team Lead for one of our engineering squads.
• Working with business leaders to architect appropriate technical solutions to business problems
• Managing a team of engineers of varying seniorities and helping them work as a team and build their knowledge base
• The first major project will be an expansion of our search algorithms (passed experience is necessary)
• Provide product demonstrations and create marketing materials to provide knowledge at scale

Key Skills needed for this role:

• Experience with building easy-scale, fault-tolerant SOA applications
• Experience with building apps that heavily uses search algorithms and search engines (e.g elasticsearch, solr, sphinx)
• Experience with building infrastructure for monitoring runtime metrics for app, crash analysis and reporting.
• Perfect Communication - You are the linchpin of the development team, ensuring the product manager manages the day-to-day tasks and your team are free of roadblocks
• Teacher - you will impart your wisdom onto your colleagues and over time support their development into exceptional engineers

Key Experience needed for this role:

• You have mastered the Python language and are likely conversational in a number of other coding languages (7+ years as a guideline)
• Complex architecture design
• Experience running a team and the high levels of communication that are necessary
• Experience in building search systems using basic keyword matching as well as advanced search algorithmsython
