Why we need you!:

We are a high-growth startup seeking an Associate Director of Data Analytics and Business Intelligence to lead & build out our data analytics department from scratch. This is a high-impact role that is coming on during a period of rapid growth. This hire will help build the Analytics function across multiple areas, particularly around Finance/budgeting, Marketing, outcome-based measurements of our patients, & more.


Responsibilities:

  • Run analytics on large data sets to provide meaningful insights to leadership around claims-level data, Finance, Marketing, Patient outcomes, clinician performance, & new state expansion.
  • Build and maintain impactful dashboards and associated recurring reports
  • Analyze data and identify key insights to further leverage claims and other business measure data
  • Develop processes around the collection of data & reporting of other key metrics
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders and conduct interviews as necessary to understand current practices and determine possible areas of improvement
  • Perform technical tasks such as creating business requirements documents, user training manuals and guides, and requirements traceability matrices
  • Deliver written and verbal presentations to an organization’s leadership to communicate key findings and updates on business process adjustments.
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis, using spreadsheets or more specialized tools such as SQL, AWS tools, and Python
  • Periodically reviewing the progress of any recommended and implemented changes to see if they’re still on track, and repeating the above steps as needed to ensure continuous improvement
  • Ad hoc projects as requested by the manager


Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree
  • 5-10 years of Analytics experience at a high-growth startup, consulting firm, or healthcare company
  • Advanced proficiency using SQL
  • Experience building impactful BI dashboards (Quicksight, Tableau, Looker, etc)
  • Proficiency in Excel (data manipulation, vlookup, index/match, pivot tables)
  • Hands-on experience with End-to-end analytics cycle - data management, cleaning/processing, analysis, visualization, etc.


Preferred:

  • Experience working with large data sets around claim-level data, provider data, marketing data, etc.
  • Collaborative working style with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Interested in exploring/implementing new approaches or tools and is highly adaptable
  • A keen eye for detail and innate problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and process improvement/automation skills
  • Experience with Python, R, or similar languages
  • Interest in developing & implementing advanced analytical models
