We are currently looking for a Senior Developer with Python experience to join our growing team.

What the role is about:

You will be working closely with one of our partners, an international player specialising (amongst others) in supply chain analytics.

You will be working in a vibrant environment, so you can never expect to have just another typical day at work. It’s definitely not your comfort zone, but you will never get bored, that is a promise.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Support clients’ projects and lead the software development activities using Python.

• Leading teams of other professionals that design from scratch, build, test and deploy solutions for challenging technical problems with a focus on developing cutting-edge ML algorithms.

• Design and deploy database structures and API to support data analytics and data science.

• Lead technical project aspects and manage external associates, applying Agile principles.

• Learn and leverage new tools and technologies as per project requirements, knowing when to suggest existing tools and technologies and when to go instead for a customised solution.

• Deliver training and coaching to clients and other consultants in the group.

• Mentor junior team members.

• Work closely with the Head of Data Science Practice to fulfil client needs in an agile manner.

You might have to travel but we expect traveling not to exceed 10-15% of your time, mainly in the EU and depending on projects.

Who are you?

You are an experienced coder, who can stand your ground building systems with purpose that are flexible, well-tested, maintainable and scale. You do love coding in Python and have some exposure to other languages as well.

Let’s talk experience, you must have:

• 5+ years experience developing in Python and have worked with various Python libraries (i.e Flask, pandas etc.)

• 2+ years experience working with SQL. You know how to write reasonably complex queries and understand how to optimise schema structures and queries.

• Professional experience leading a technical team in an Agile environment and working directly with clients.

• Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with distributed teams.

• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Optional extras (it’s great if you have experience in any of these):

• Comprehensive experience with Git along with a cloud based integrator (Github/Bitbucket etc)

• Frontend web development

• ERP systems

• Data Warehousing, you understand about Type I & II Dimension tables, Fact tables, Data Marts and the data engineering logic to create these.

• Docker/Kubernetes

• Microsoft Azure (preferred, but AWS/GCP is always useful)

• Experience with working in leading DevOps methodologies
