We are currently searching for a fully remote Mid-Level Backend Software Engineer to work as a full-time employee for one of the largest digital commerce platforms.

• Support the implementation of off-the-shelf tooling (vendor products) and develop custom applications
• Comfortable with an empowered and autonomous environment in a remote work setting
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions
• Work with project manager or product owner to meet specification needs
• Recommend software upgrades to optimize operational efficiency
• Create flowcharts and user guides for new and existing programs
• Collaborate with external clients and internal team members to meet product deadlines
• Maintain the software processes including:
• Software documentation
• Source code versioning
• Unit testing
• Quickly adapt to new situations and problems
• Experience affording and refining work, and planning Sprints in a Scrum environment

Requirements

• 3+ years professional software development or computer engineering experience
• Proficiency with the following tech stack: Python, Flask, MySQL
• Have expertise with Python 3.x, ideally in a web environment
• Experience in the design and development of sophisticated, modern web applications and services
• Familiarity and comfort with REST APIs
• Have knowledge or experience on developing UIs with HTML/JS/CSS
• Familiar with Flask or similar Python web framework
• Ability to draft testable software requirements
• Participate in the design of new software applications
