We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Specialist with 4 to 6 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong scripting skills, hands-on experience with networking (including internet, firewalls, and IT tools), and expertise in implementing security best practices. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Google Cloud) is a big plus.

Scripting & Automation:

• Develop and maintain scripts for automating IT processes (using Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
• Improve system efficiency by automating repetitive tasks and workflows

Networking:

• Manage, monitor, and troubleshoot network components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
• Configure and maintain network security protocols, such as firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems
• Ensure reliable internet connectivity and maintain internal network performance

Security Best Practices & Implementation:

• Implement and maintain industry-standard security best practices across systems and networks
• Develop and enforce security policies, including password management, data encryption, and access controls
• Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
• Monitor systems proactively for potential security breaches and respond to incidents promptly
• Collaborate with the team to develop and execute security protocols and incident response plans

IT Tools & Support:

• Administer and maintain IT tools for system monitoring, ticketing, and team collaboration
• Provide technical support, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues for internal teams

Experience:

• 4-6 years of experience in IT support, networking, or a related role

Skills:

• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.)
• Deep understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching)
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and other network security technologies
• Proven ability to implement and enforce security best practices and policies
• Familiarity with IT tools, such as monitoring software, ticketing systems, and version control
• Knowledge of security frameworks and experience in performing regular security assessments and audits

Cloud Experience (Preferred):

• Experience with Google Cloud platforms is a big plus

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, especially with security-related challenges
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
