About the Role:
Splash Financial is seeking an experienced data scientist to join its newly founded Data Science team as its new Senior Data Scientist. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be working with Chief Data Science Officer to lay the foundation of cutting-edge AI/ML capabilities for the company. We’re looking for an experienced self-starter who is not afraid of taking bold moves to build cutting-edge AI/ML capabilities. What you'll do at Splash:
- Co-lead with Chief Data Science Officer to stand up AI/ML capabilities, as well as develop and execute AI/ML roadmap: From data ingestion to feature store, from feature engineering to model development, from model deployment to model monitoring.
- Collaborate with Data team to identify the data and their organization needed for AI/ML development throughout customer lifecycle.
- Collaborate with other business functions to identify AI/ML opportunities in various areas.
- Collaborate with Technology team to identify the process, including control process, to deploy AI/ML models.
What you'll bring to Splash:
- 6+ years of relevant professional experience in data science; prior AI/ML experience in fintech or lending companies is a big plus.
- Master’s or PhD degree in quantitative fields.
- Exceptional knowledge in various AI/ML algorithms, including traditional algorithms like logistic and linear regressions.
- Exceptional python knowledge and popular AI/ML libraries, like sklearn, matplotlib, neural nets, tensorflow, etc. Familiarity or prior experience of using Amazon Sagemaker is a plus.
- Creative, bold and not afraid of taking charge, while still being an open mind.
- Strong communication skills; Able to explain complex, highly technical topics into basic English.
- A data person; not only not afraid of facing the data but also love to be immersed in vast amount of data.
- Proficient in setting up APIs and PMML-based implementation.
