Job Details

Our clients across five markets look to us for guidance on market news and economic developments. They trust us to give them the right financial advice and need us to deliver this information at the right place and time. And that's exactly what our content team is here to do.

We're looking for a Financial Writer and Editor to join our team who can simplify technical financial topics and make finance and investing interesting even to those who think watching paint dry is more exciting. As StashAway's Financial Writer and Editor, you'll navigate novices through the "big scary world" of investing and deliver insights that excite even financial professionals. Our team is there to help people make better financial decisions, and you're key to that mission.

If you have the financial acumen, storytelling, and writing skills to deliver the right financial information and insights to the right customer via the right channel, you could be just the person we're looking for.

This regional role will lead our investment and financial communications while supporting the content and marketing teams across all five of our markets: Hong Kong, Malaysia, MENA, Singapore, and Thailand.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver key investment pieces regularly. This includes our short and snappy weekly newsletter covering market news, financial planning tips and product updates, as well as our monthly CIO insights, quarterly returns and market outlook.
  • Foster audience engagement by maintaining StashAway's relevancy to topics impacting clients and potential clients. You'll curate and pitch content based on the current financial environment, trending topics, and market sentiment, entertaining and educating customers while connecting it to StashAway products.
  • Maximise reach by publishing content on the optimal channels, targeting the right audience at the right time.
  • Curate and write a short and snappy weekly newsletter containing the latest market news, financial planning tips, and product updates
  • Work with the marketing and business teams to ensure accuracy in financial and macroeconomic topics across all content

Requirements

  • Demonstrated financial acumen and strong writing and editing abilities
  • 5-7 years of experience in the financial industry
  • An ability to crunch complex financial and economic topics into clear, succinct, and simple prose
  • A thirst for knowledge and a keen interest in staying on top of the latest market events and trends
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Proactiveness to try and learn new things
  • A strong understanding of Asian context, specifically for Singapore.

When applying, please include at least two relevant writing samples.
