We're TeeTurtle, a bustling eCommerce/consumer products company that creates nerdy toys, games, apparel, and accessories. We are looking for a talented Finance Assistant to execute and assist with a wide variety of tasks vital to the day-to-day efficiency of our financial operations. This role is a full-time, exempt position and reports to the Finance Manager. This role has no supervisory responsibilities.


The ideal candidate is highly organized with strong attention to detail and has experience using Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets. They are reliable, self-motivated, and able to maintain focus when performing repetitive tasks while also being able to pivot last minute to meet changing priorities. They are upbeat and able to work well as a part of a very close team to complete projects. They have a strong sense of integrity and accountability.


Job Responsibilities:

  • File & organize both digital and paper records of all receipts, bills, financial statements, contract agreements, and tax documentation to ensure accurate and up-to-date record-keeping;
  • Assist with entering billing and expense information into our accounting software to ensure spending is appropriately accounted and bills are paid on time;
  • Assist with writing and submitting invoices to wholesale clients in conjunction with negotiated pricing and term guidelines and correspond with wholesale clients as needed to ensure all payments are collected properly and on time;
  • Monitor and sort invoices inbox to ensure all incoming bills and receipts (as well as all physical mail delivered to the office) are properly addressed;
  • Update and monitor team Trello boards and shared Google Drive folders to ensure financial information and reporting is readily accessible;
  • Pull data and update various reports as assigned to assist with sales data tracking, royalty submissions, inventory costs, etc.;
  • Utilize an inventory management system to assist with vendor invoicing for shirt and print orders;
  • Correspond with various department heads, vendors, and wholesale customers to arrange meetings, distribute reports, and communicate general information;
  • Assist with the monitoring and updating of all bank transaction information and initiate transfers to and from our accounts to ensure proper balances are maintained and accounted for in QuickBooks;
  • Update convention budget and expense reports with accounting data as well as receipt backups, reward point usage, and other reference information to ensure monthly reporting to that department is accurate and thorough;
  • Place needed supply orders for Saint Louis office, Denver office, and WFH employees to keep day-to-day business operations running smoothly;
  • Assist the rest of the team with regular projects, month-end processes, and day to day tasking as needed to increase department efficiency;
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, start-up environment;
  • Demonstrated typing speed of at least 75 WPM;
  • Excellent organizational skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Commitment to following directions to the letter;
  • Highest level of integrity and management of confidential information;
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or other similar accounting software preferred;
  • Proficiency in Google Docs and Sheets or Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • Candidates in the St. Louis, MO area preferred.


Salary Range:

$35,000~$38,000/yr
