Tempo is looking for an Office & HR coordinator that wants to be part of a diverse team, willing to pitch in where needed, and understands that no job is too big (or small). If you want to work for a fast-paced tech company, doing practical stuff and also making sure that our culture is supported, keep reading. The role is focused on our EU stakeholders and varied, but you will mainly be supporting daily operations of the Icelandic office and employees such as keeping our HRIS details updated, assisting with onboarding and offboarding admin, as well as project coordination for our various HR and Recruitment initiatives.

The role involves

  • Fielding employee requests and questions including collaborating with Finance and People Partner for escalations

  • Assist with onboarding, and offboarding related tasks including booking orientations and working with IT

  • Provide feedback to improve employment policies, processes, and practices as well as recommending changes to management

  • Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary including working with Finance to stay within budget

  • Liaise with Origo (building landlord) for any facilities related issues including access, maintenance, etc.

  • Receive and sort incoming and outgoing mail and package deliveries including be available to receive necessary couriers

  • Managing vendors including food orders, cleaning services, scheduled maintenance, etc. and liaising with repair services when required

  • Assist with the planning of company and social events and sending out food/gift vouchers to employees when needed.

  • Assist with travel arrangements for employees to Icelandic office including hotel booking contact

  • And so much more!

The ideal candidate

  • Certificate, diploma or bachelor degree in Human Resources or Business Administration considered an asset

  • At least 1-2 years experience as an Executive Assistant, HR Coordinator and/or Office Administrator

  • Experience with databases and HRIS systems would be an asset

  • No ego. No job is too little or too big.

  • Able to effectively prioritize and multi-task

  • Tech savvy and able to adapt to various modes and tools of communication (including working with distributed and virtual teams)

  • A positive attitude and diplomatic approach to problem solving and conflict resolution

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced environment is an asset.
