About the Senior Back-End Developer / Engineer role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Back End Engineer with solid commercial experience as a Back End Engineer with solid skills in Python, APIs, databases, and agile methodologies. We can lead on tech advancements as we continue to grow the company.

You’ll join a small team working at the forefront of new technology, solving the challenges that impact both the front-end and back-end architecture, and ultimately, delivering amazing global user experiences.

Your responsibilities as a senior member of our 100%-remote software development team:

• You’ll take complete, end-to-end ownership of projects on the back-end building highly scalable distributed solutions and developing new features in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements. 
• This role is the perfect opportunity for someone with experience building complex, scalable and elegant applications and also enjoys working with and supporting a small team.
• Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful application design.
• Design client-side and server-side architecture.
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications.
• Integrate supplier APIs into our client-facing API.
• Capturing business requirements and translating them into technical requirements through a structured design thinking process.
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 4-5 years of commercial experience as a Back End Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and containerization technologies (Docker).
• Knowledge of CI/CD best practices.
• Strong experience with RESTful API.
• Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git.
• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform.
• Excellent communication skills at a senior level.
