About the Back-End Developer role:
We are looking for a great Back-end engineer who has solid commercial as a Back End Engineer with experience in Python, APIs, databases, and agile methodologies.
You’ll be joining a small team working at the forefront of new technology, solving the challenges that impact both the front end and back end architecture, and ultimately, delivering amazing global user experiences.

Your responsibilities as part of our software development team:
- You’ll take complete, end-to-end ownership of projects on the back-end building highly scalable distributed solutions and developing new features in support of rapidly emerging business and project requirements.
- This role is the perfect opportunity for someone with experience building complex, scalable and elegant applications and also enjoys working with and supporting a small team.
- Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful application design.
- Design client-side and server-side architecture.
- Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications.
- Integrate supplier APIs into our client-facing API.
- Capturing business requirements and translating them into technical requirements through a structured design thinking process.
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 3+ years of commercial experience as a Back-end Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes and containerisation technologies (Docker).
- Knowledge of CI/CD best practices.
- Strong experience with RESTful API.
- Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git.
- Experience working with Google Cloud Platform.
- Excellent communication skills at a senior level.
