Transeo (we provide software solutions to schools and school districts nationwide) is growing and seeking a Product Designer for our software development team.
Position Overview:
- Lead and collaborate on User-Centered Design sessions
- Produce clickable prototypes, visual design and IA artifacts as part of the product development lifecycle at Transeo
- Facilitate user testing and synthesize the output to help drive the iteration and evolution of our products
- Work with development teams and VP leadership to define and refine the scope
- Review UI to ensure proper implementation and work with technical teams to hone the experience and polish the final output
- Contribute and help maintain existing design system library components
At Transeo, the Design team is stepping up its game, and we want you to join us during this exciting time of growth. Our team comprises product designers with proven experience in visual design, information architecture, and interactions. Design at Transeo is a leading discipline for delivering meaningful and impactful solutions for our School District clients.
Your duties will include translating high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts and transforming them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional designs. We expect you to have an eye for clean and artful web app user interface design.
As a remote-first team, it's also critical that you demonstrate strong self-management and inspiration, and strong people and interpersonal skills. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
- Develop original website design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex roadblocks
- Interact with the team to share and discuss design ideas
- Prepare wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
- Discuss designs and key deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders
- Set design guidelines, best practices and standards

- Facilitate user testing and synthesize the output to help drive the iteration and evolution of our products

Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in interactive design, information architecture and visual design
- Confirmed track record of hand-on-user-interface design contributions to design system
- Expert-level proficiency with design software (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Suite)
- Quick starter and nimble/creative in a fast-paced start-up environment
- Real passion for seamless design and the creative process
- Strong interest in and passion for EdTech space
- A portfolio demonstrating the breadth, creativity, process, and innovation in related fields

Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $105,000.00, depending on experience. We also provide the following benefits to all employees:
