Job Description

The Product Support and Design Analyst bridges the gap between product support and design. By way of addressing and organizing internal service tickets, the ideal candidate will learn to empathize with end-users and apply their learnings when designing and prioritizing new features or improvements. This is an entry-level role, however, this person will have ample opportunity to grow their skills as a generalist in various aspects of the product, as well as specialist in those areas in which they excel.

Core Responsibilities

Service

  • Service and prioritize internal user-created Jira tickets
  • Maintain active list of outstanding issues and enhancement requests across all teams for prioritization and communication purposes
  • Create Jira tickets for engineers based on Jira and Leadership Team priority levels
  • Regularly meet with Operations and client-facing Service teams to receive their feedback about the system as well as provide updates on their outstanding Jira tickets

Design

  • Build/Create New Products using in-house tools
  • Update existing Products, including documents and subscriptions
  • Lead/coordinate design sprints
  • Create design documents for development needs
  • Conduct user testing/feedback on designs prior to, during and after development
  • Manage projects (including new features, improvements or products)
  • Help prune the backlog of feature requests
  • Manage or assist with vendor searches for products or services
  • Consult Product Innovation on enhancements to existing products or new products

Quality Assurance

  • Assist with quality assurance testing on releases as needed
  • Assist with documentation and training as needed

Screensteps/training

  • Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) and pertinent system documentation in for Product and internal teams



Qualifications

Competencies

End-User Focus - Keeps internal and external users in mind at all times. Proactively addresses user concerns and involves them in all stages of planning
Organization - Capable of managing multiple designs and priorities, and remain clear-headed in a deadline-driven environment with frequently changing priorities
Communication - Use of appropriate and effective language in a variety of situations and actively engages in conversations to understand others’ messages
Curiosity - A strong desire to know or learn how internal systems works as well as how end-users interact with, or desire to interact with, the product
Creativity - The ability to use imagination or original ideas to solve problems

Skills + Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience with record-keeping/administrative software
  • Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to diagnose problems
  • Ability to flex between work autonomously and as a team member
  • Ability to speak and present in front of a group (we can work with you on this)
  • Project management experience
  • Process Improvement – track record of improving processes
  • Excellent follow through and communication through email
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge – VLOOKUP, sorting/filtering
  • Jira experience preferred but not required
  • Basic HTML and SQL knowledge preferred
