The Role

Ushur is looking for a talented Senior Tools Engineer to join our Engineering team. The candidate should possess strong knowledge of web technologies, micro services, AWS cloud, and state of the art monitoring and APM tools technologies. The candidate will work directly with the Engineering and DevOps teams and build and deploy necessary tools required for their smooth operation.Primary Responsibilities:* Build/integrate/manage tools (examples: Zabbix, Datadog, Dynatrace Open Source monitoring tools, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology, business processes and practices to continually improve applications and systems monitoring, tracing and performance
• Provide management with analysis of current applications and systems performance
• Proactively makes recommendations to management with new technologies to improve traceability, debuggability and application performance
• Provide feedback to Architecture teams for improvements for performance, availability and scalability
• Define/determine proper KPIs to measure availability, performance, and quality of services of the platform
• Mentor junior level tools engineer and provide guidance

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• 8+ years of related experience working with several of the following technologies
• Operating Systems: Linux, Solaris
• Databases: MongoDB, MySQL
• Applications/Middleware: Nginx, Apache http, Apache Tomcat, RabbitMQ
• Cloud: AWS
• Programming Skills: Java, Node JS, Python
• Tools: Open source/commercial monitoring framework/tools such as Zabbix, Datadog, DynaTrace, New Relic, Jaeger etc.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
• Experience with Agile/scrum methodologies
