About Apple iCloud

iCloud is built into every Apple device. That means all your stuff — photos, files, notes and more — is safe, up to date and available wherever you are.

Few of the interesting features of Apple iCloud:

• iCloud works automatically, so all we have to do is keep doing what we love. Everyone gets 5GB of free iCloud storage to start and it’s easy to add more at any time.

• With iCloud Photos, we can browse, search and share all the photos and videos from any of our devices, whether they were taken yesterday or years ago. Features like face recognition and object detection are processed locally on our device through machine learning, rather than in the cloud. And apps can only access our photos with our permission.

• To save space on our devices, the original, full‑resolution photos we take are automatically uploaded to iCloud. We’ll still always have a lightweight version of every photo on our device and we can download the originals whenever we need them.

• Shared Albums lets us create albums for trips, events or whatever we want. Simply choose the friends and family members who can see, comment and add their own photos and videos.

• The files we keep safe in iCloud Drive are easy to get to, no matter which device we’re using. We can access all our files from the Files app on iOS and iPadOS, the Finder on our Mac, File Explorer for Windows PCs or iCloud.com.

• iCloud Drive lets us organise our files with folders, rename them and tag them with colours. And when we make a change, the update is made across all our devices. We can even have everything in our Mac Desktop and Documents folders automatically available in iCloud Drive.
