Accountant Job Description

Accountant job description will consist of the role, responsibilities, qualifications and technical or soft skills required

Role

We’re looking for an accountant who will be in charge of managing and reporting financial data. You’ll be responsible for financial audits, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring financial records are accurate throughout the year.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for timely and accurate month-end closing and financial reporting
  • Compilation and presentation of financial and budget reports
  • Keeping informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting
  • Reviewing new customer setup activities to ensure they are established with the correct fee and sales tax schedules, if applicable.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and internal requirements, audits, and procedures

Requirements

  • Good knowledge of IFRS
  • Knowledge of Oracle, SAP or similar accounting software
  • Extensive knowledge of Indian GAAP
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases
  • CA certification

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail skills
  • Good analytical skills
  • Possess problem solving attitude

Salary Range (in USD)

$41,000 - $89,000 per year

Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant (CPA, ACCA or equivalent)

  • Chief Accounting Officer/Finance Manager
