  • You shall provide exceptional customer service by greeting and serving customers with a friendly and positive attitude
  • We expect you to prepare and serve an array of hot and cold beverages, like coffee and smoothies, according to our recipes and quality standards
  • Your role and responsibilities as a Barista include brewing coffee using various methods, including espresso machines, drip coffee makers, pour-over, and French press
  • As a Barista, you will be responsible for ensuring the freshness and quality of coffee beans, including monitoring coffee bean inventory and freshness dates
  • You will operate espresso machines and other equipment proficiently to brew and steam beverages, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation
  • We expect you to maintain a clean and organized work area, including the bar, dining tables, and beverage stations, to uphold cleanliness standards and create an inviting environment for our customers
  • Your Barista duties and responsibilities include grinding coffee beans to the appropriate consistency and tamping espresso grounds for espresso-based drinks
  • You shall accurately process customer orders, handle payments, and give back change efficiently while adhering to cash-handling procedures
  • We expect you to engage with customers proactively, recommending and upselling menu items based on their preferences and promoting special promotions or products
  • It will be your responsibility as a Barista to maintain consistent coffee quality, including adjusting grind settings and espresso shot timing
  • You will actively participate in ongoing training sessions to expand your knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, flavor profiles, and new product offerings
  • We expect you to collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations, communicate any concerns or issues, and contribute positively to the overall success of our establishment
  • As a Barista, you should stay updated on the cafe's menu offerings, including coffee varieties, teas, pastries, and seasonal specials. It will be your duty to educate customers about the menu options and help them make informed choices


  • You should have a strong knowledge of coffee and be passionate about the different brewing methods and flavor profiles
  • You must be able to consistently produce high-quality espresso-based beverages, including latte art
  • We expect you to provide exceptional customer service by delivering friendly and efficient service at all times. You should be friendly, attentive, and able to provide excellent service
  • You should possess robust communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members
  • You should have the ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and adjust to changing customer demands
  • It is essential that you are able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively to ensure smooth operations during busy periods
  • Flexibility is key as you may be required to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • You must maintain a tidy and highly organized workspace, following all health and safety guidelines

Salary Range (in USD)

$25,396 to $36,075 per year (


  • High school diploma or its equivalent (such as a GED)
  • Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) courses, such as the Barista Skills Program and Coffee Skills Program.
  • Barista Guild of America (BGA) courses and certifications
