A Business Development Manager is someone who can help organization build a better brand and maximise profits. These professionals generate new sales leads, negotiate client pricing, and forecast sales revenue. It requires experience in market research, strategy, and building relationships.


  • Manage and retain relationships with existing clients
  • Identify and generate new business leads, plan and implement new marketing initiatives
  • Having an in-depth knowledge of business products, value proposition, and using it to develop growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Research and evaluate industry trends by attending conferences, meetings, and industry events, and discuss business strategy with stakeholders
  • Resolve internal priorities and report on successes as well as areas needing improvements


  • Experience in business administration, sales, marketing or related field
  • Experience with design and implementation of business development strategy
  • Proven track record of success in B2B sales and negotiation
  • Strong communication skills and IT fluency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, and statistical analysis
  • Knowledge of latest market trends, business tools, etc

Soft Skills

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-motivated individual who can drive results whilst managing a team
  • Proven ability to negotiate


  • Working knowledge of a CRM tool (eg: Salesforce)

$47,000 – $100,000 per year
