Role

We are seeking a highly talented, motivated, and detail-oriented Controller to join our dynamic finance team. As the Controller, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing all financial activities of our company. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records. You will also be preparing financial reports, and implementing internal controls.

In this role of a Controller, you will collaborate closely with various departments within the company, including operations, sales, and human resources, to ensure compliance with financial regulations and optimize financial performance. Your expertise in financial analysis and forecasting will contribute to informed decision-making and drive business growth.

Responsibilities

  • As a Controller, it will be your primary responsibility to oversee the financial operations of our company, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. You will also ensure that all ledgers, reporting systems, and accounts adhere to the proper regulatory standards and GAAP guidelines
  • You will develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with government regulations and optimize financial performance
  • Your Controller's duty is to analyze financial data consistently, produce accurate and timely financial reports, and clearly convey quarterly, yearly, and monthly financial statements. Additionally, you will keep senior leadership informed about the current financial situation while tracking progress
  • You shall manage cash flow and liquidity by monitoring revenue and expenses, conducting cost analysis, and recommending strategies for improvement
  • It will be your duty as a Controller to assist the management of our organization in the annual budgeting and planning process, administrate and analyze all financial plans, and compare to results in order to find, justify, and, if necessary, fix discrepancies
  • With the help of the program leaders, you will manage the organization's cash flow forecasts and regularly consult with program leaders to evaluate the financial effectiveness of the operations
  • We expect you to liaise with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with legal requirements
  • You will collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and guidance for strategic planning and business development initiatives
  • As a Controller, it will be your duty to utilize the strengths of the current finance team members, aid in the clarification of role and responsibility, and create and put into place training programs to maximize and achieve ideal personal and organizational goals
  • You will provide a leadership role in enhancing internal communications with employees at all organizational levels and fostering a friendly and happy workplace
  • You shall stay updated on industry trends, changes in accounting principles, and best practices to continually improve financial management processes

Requirements

  • You must have a strong understanding of financial accounting principles and the capability to apply them accurately in day-to-day operations
  • You will also be responsible for managing finance and accounting teams, so strong leadership and team management skills are essential
  • We expect you to possess excellent analytical skills, allowing you to effectively interpret and evaluate financial data to identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies
  • You should be proficient in financial management software and have experience with ERP systems to efficiently manage financial transactions, budgets, and forecasts
  • You must demonstrate exceptional attention to detail when preparing financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • We value your ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders at all levels, including non-financial staff, through clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • You are expected to have a solid grasp of internal controls and risk management practices to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity
  • We need you to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement financial processes and procedures that streamline operations and support business objectives
  • You must have profound knowledge and experience in establishing and maintaining effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity
  • You should have a proven track record of successfully managing month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing financial statements, reconciliations, and audits
  • You should have a strong commitment to ethical conduct and a track record of maintaining high ethical standards in financial reporting and management
