Knowledge Manager Job Description

Knowledge Manager job description will consist of the role, responsibilities, qualifications and technical or soft skills required



In a business or organization, a Knowledge Manager is in charge of making sure that team members have access to and apply the knowledge they require to perform at their highest level. The Knowledge Manager, in partnership with key stakeholders- Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Partnerships and Operations maintains, updates, and enhances the content of databases/repositories used.


  • Create, oversee, and establish the goals for the knowledge management team members and the knowledge management framework
  • For usage by the enterprise, create, collect, arrange, and evaluate knowledge assets
  • Create a solid roadmap approach for knowledge management implementation that draws on industry best practises and takes advantage of process and tool developments
  • Contribute to the centralized knowledge-base of materials used globally
  • Encourage the use of knowledge management tools and procedures to make it easier for people to share knowledge
  • Create and promote a culture of knowledge sharing among site operations, acting as an advocate for KM programmes there
  • Support the creation and delivery of training on KM tools and processes
  • Write, edit, develop, and improve knowledge repository and ensure information is current and accurate


  • Strong understanding of Knowledge Management, Content Management and related activities
  • Prior experience putting KM strategies into practise
  • Knowledge Management (KM) programme development expertise in the technology sector or within technical departments of a large, international organisation
  • Hands-on experience with MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc.
  • Proficiency in Notion, Airtable and other collaborative tools is a plus
  • A track record of building productive working connections and involving stakeholders from different business areas

Salary Range (in USD)

$48,000 - $100,000 per year


  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or other related disciplines
  • MBA or Postgraduate in English Language, Mass Communication or, Information Systems
