Operations Manager Job Description

Role
The Operations Manager's role is mainly to make use of the right procedures and processes across the organization. The specific duties include strategic planning and execution, performance improvement, procuring material and resources, and securing compliance. Operations Managers should be well-versed in training and mentoring team members, finding ways to improve customer service, and implementing best practices across all stages.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all operations are carried on in the most cost-effective way
- Improve operational management processes and procedures
- Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant
- Formulate strategic and operational objectives
- Examine financial data and reports to improve profitability
- Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs
- Planning and managing all aspects of logistics operations including inbound/outbound logistics
- Coordinating with the manufacturing department to ensure the timely and accurate carriage of goods
- Help in providing effective and efficient warehousing and logistics operations
Requirements
- Proven work experience as an Operations Manager or similar role
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting
- Familiarity with business and financial principles
- Technical proficiency and data processing
