Role
A sales manager is charged with ensuring that the sales team meets its goals. The most common job responsibilities for a sales manager include setting quotas, judging and modifying performance, and establishing sales processes.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, hire and train the sales team
- Set sales goals, compare performance to goals, and adjust goals as needed
- Develop a sales development playbook that includes the sequence of sales pitches, phone scripts, email templates, and qualification tactics
- Follow best practices and procedures for lead generation
- Gather technical requirements, identify prospects’ pain points, recognise their business needs, and determine if they would be a good match for our company's products
- Update and maintain prospect information and sales activities on platforms such as Salesforce
- Assess our current operations procedures and identify opportunities for improvement
- Develop individual quotas and assign territories for team members
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts
- Foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales, sales development, or inside sales, preferably in B2B technology, SaaS industry
- Self-starter with proven success in outbound (cold calling experience is required) and inbound lead generation in competitive and results-driven environments
- Strong team player who can build good relationships at all levels of an organization
- Demonstrated ability to articulate value propositions of the product to senior and director-level executives
- Experience in scaling sales in a fast-growth environment is preferred
- Proficiency with tools including CRM like Salesforce.or Hubspot, sales engagement platforms, and Microsoft Office
