ServiceNow Consultant Job Description

ServiceNow Consultant job description will consist of the role, responsibilities, qualifications and technical or soft skills required



ServiceNow Consultant will be responsible for the development and support of ServiceNow implementation. This involves combining ITIL-based process consultancy with agile methods (scrum) and enhancing the company's ServiceNow delivery capability. Consultants need to define ServiceNow solutions and tailor them as per client requirements.


  • Developing, installing, integrating, and troubleshooting ServiceNow applications
  • Consuming Knowledge regarding the latest developments in one or more aspects of computer programming
  • Training, documentation, and support to the organizational teams whenever required
  • Design, develop and implement Service Catalog workflows, ITIL processes, ITAM, EM, Knowledge, Demand, and Release Management modules within the ServiceNow platform and integrations with external systems for the organizational growth
  • Need to maintain detailed system documentation including design specs, maintenance, troubleshooting, deployment, disaster recovery, tech notes, testing, etc.
  • Provide value-based assessments and workshops to help the customer maximize business results from ServiceNow software


  • X years of experience in ServiceNow development and IT Consulting
  • Knowledgeable of UI/UX standards
  • Experience in frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc
  • Experience in building scalable solutions
  • Experience in IT Service Management (ITIL); ServiceNow Platform/Scripting/APIs/Service Portal/Applications
  • Familiar with SDLC and Agile methodologies

Soft Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to describe technical solutions in business terms
  • Adaptable to dynamic and fast-paced environments
  • Team player


ServiceNow experience with CSM and HR products a real plus

Salary Range (in USD)

$87000 - $159000 per year


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Systems, Computer Science and equivalent
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator
