Role
A company seeking assistance with tax strategy and expense minimization can hire a tax expert. They have in-depth knowledge of accounting and tax law. A tax expert helps organizations develop tax strategy and minimize tax payables. They also help with tax audits and provide the right guidance on all tax related matters.
Responsibilities
- Staying up to date with tax law, and assisting in IRS and state audits
- Preparing periodic tax compliance and ensuring tax returns are filed following tax authorities.
- Developing tax strategy and tax saving opportunities, keeping business objectives in mind, and working closely with multiple stakeholders.
- Working with finance and other cross-functional teams to implement and improve end-to-end tax processes and procedures to mitigate risks.
- Providing advice and guidance on all tax-related matters.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Tax Specialist, Tax Manager, or a similar position
- Working knowledge of accounting principles, tax law, tax accounting, tax compliance, tax returns, and audit
- Experience with tax reporting softwares like SAP and UltraTax
Soft Skills
- A sharp eye for details for accuracy and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to multitasks efficiently

$43,000 - $74,000 per yearQualifications
- Bachelors in Commerce, Accounting, MA in Taxation or related field
