Responsibilities
- You will greet and welcome customers to the restaurant with a friendly and positive attitude
- A Waiter’s duties and responsibilities include escorting customers to their tables, taking into consideration their preferences and any special requests they may have
- We expect you to provide menu recommendations and answer any queries that our customers may have regarding the food and beverages available
- As a Waiter, it is your responsibility to take accurate orders from customers, ensuring that all dietary restrictions and preferences are noted and communicated effectively to the kitchen staff
- Throughout the dining experience, you should check on customers regularly to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns or additional needs they may have
- Be well-informed about the menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, so that you can answer questions about food and drink options accurately
- You shall serve food and beverages to customers in a timely and efficient manner. You will also be responsible for maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail
- As a Waiter, it will be your duty to listen to guest feedback and complaints attentively and try to resolve issues and complaints in a calm and professional manner. If necessary, involve a supervisor or manager to address more complex problems
- Ensure orders are complete and accurate before presenting them to guests, and use proper serving techniques, such as carrying multiple plates or trays
- It is your responsibility to clear empty plates, glasses, and utensils from tables as guests finish their meals. Then, you will reset tables for the next guests. You must ensure that tables are clean and presentable at all times
- We rely on you to handle payment transactions accurately and efficiently, including processing credit card payments and providing customers with itemized bills
- Maintaining a clean and organized workstation is essential. It will be your responsibility to set up tables, arrange utensils, and ensure a neat appearance of the restaurant
- A Waiter’s duties and responsibilities include adherence to hygiene and safety standards, including food handling and sanitation procedures, and following proper procedures for handling and disposing of waste
- At the end of each shift, you will assist in cleaning and resetting tables, as well as ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the dining area
Requirements
- You must greet and welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable throughout their dining experience
- You should have excellent communication skills, being able to listen attentively to customer orders and relay them accurately to the kitchen staff
- We expect you to have a good understanding of the menu and be knowledgeable about daily specials so you can provide detailed descriptions and make recommendations based on customer preferences
- It is important that you can multitask efficiently, managing multiple tables at once and prioritizing tasks effectively to ensure prompt service
- We require you to have strong problem-solving skills, be able to handle customer concerns or complaints calmly, and find appropriate solutions to ensure customer satisfaction
- We expect you to know about responsible alcohol service, including checking IDs and recognizing signs of intoxication
- You must have a keen eye for detail, checking each order carefully before serving it to customers to ensure accuracy and quality
- You should be able to upsell additional menu items, drinks, or specials to increase revenue, which is often a valuable skill
- We value teamwork and cooperation, so you should be willing to assist other team members when needed and collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
